Please note that Heartland Conference offers camperships (financial aid) for anyone who needs additional help paying camp fees for up to 60%.  Local congregations are encouraged to support local campers first.  Camperships are available for campers whose families need more assistance than the local church can provide, as well as for families who are unchurched or who do not have a local church to support them.  Please register before May 1st and indicate on your registration that you need aid, why, and how much.

Resident Camp for Children and Youth

The following will be held at Camp Christian, Disciples of Christ, Marysville, OH:

• Music Mindfulness Art Dance Drama (MMADD) – June 21-27, 2026
• Camp Out June 21-27, 2026
• Sportscamp June 28-July 4, 2026

  • Sportscamp ages 7-9

  • Sportscamp ages 10-12

  • Sportscamp ages 13-15

  • Sportscamp ages 16-18

Family Camps 

• Grands and Family 1 at Camp Christian, June 10-13, 2026. Rev. Janis Montgomery and Kathy Smith will be leading this session. It will once again be concurrent with Camp Christian’s Otter Camp. There will be some time shared together. We really enjoyed sharing the camp last summer and look forward to it again.
• Grands and Family 2 at MMADD Camp Out. This session will give you the option to attend a full week or the traditional half week. Options for June 21-27 or June 21 – 24. It will be led by the Music Mindfulness Art Dance Drama Camp Out directors and volunteers.  It will be a shared time together and there will be offerings together with and separate from the MMADD Camp Out campers.
• Grands and Family 3 at Camp Wanake near Beach City, OH, June 28 – July 1st with directors Rev. Mark Frey and Robin Stanley! Both of these sessions will be traditional Grands and Family half-week sessions directed by Rev. Mark Frey and Robin Stanley.  The Wanake staff will lead activities in the pool, lake, and climbing wall. We will be using both lodges, and in June up to 5 families may bring their RV’s to stay. In June, there will be some concurrent UMC camps. We are looking forward to spending more time at this amazing camp.
• Grands and Family 4 at Camp Wanake near Beach City, OH, August 2-5th with directors Rev. Mark Frey and Robin Stanley! • Dunkirk Friends and Family Camp 1, Dunkirk Camp and Conference Center, Dunkirk, NY, July 5- 11, 2026. Directors: Heartland Conference Minister Rev. Dr. Dave Long-Higgins and Rev. Beth Long-Higgins! Family Camps gather folks across generations and life experiences into a delightful time of learning, laughter, and love. Some come with their immediate family; others come with their extended family; still others come by themselves and discover that they are part of the “big” family that gathers for this remarkable time that blends spiritual growth and opportunities to swim, hike, do crafts, and savor amazing sunsets over Lake Erie at Vesper Point. If you are looking for a way to rest, rejuvenate, and renew, we hope you will join us.

Adult Camps/Retreats

• Seek and Sip, at Camp Christian, August 5-8, 2026: Calling all adults 21+ to escape the daily grind and embark on a unique spiritual journey at “Seek and Sip,” half-week adult church camp. Enjoy savoring your favorite wine, beer, coffee, tea, or bug juice as you re-live the cherished camp memories of your youth, or experience fun camp activities for the first time, while exploring your faith today.
• Lantern Fellowship, at Camp Christian: All adult women are invited to join this retreat.  Planned in the spring and fall each year by women of the Heartland Conference of the United Church of Christ, Lantern Fellowship is a time when women of all generations come together to enjoy faith, fun, and friends
  • Spring registration link for April 17-19, 2026: Speaker Rev. Allen Harris, Regional Pastor and President, Christian Church in Ohio. (Registration opens Nov. 1, 2025)
  •  Fall registration link for September 18-20, 2026. Speaker Rev. Michael Howard, Minister of Faith in Action, Living Waters Association of the Heartland Conference UCC. (Registration will open Spring 2026)
