We are planning for summer camp 2021 and hope you are looking forward to participating. Although we all hope that the pandemic will be over soon, we believe that it will still be among us this summer. We are planning both in person opportunities and virtual/remote opportunities, including a camp-in-a-box through the mail, Zoom-type camp sessions, and of course our camp website.

The information below links to registration, information sheet, an FAQ, and COVID-19 safety information. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please reach out to our Executive Director of Outdoor Ministries, Jill Frey, at jill@heartlanducc.org or 800-282-0740 ext. 3.

Sessions 2021

The theme this year for summer camp will be “Branching Out: Connecting through Christ.”

Important Information for parents, guardians, and volunteers

Welcome to Templed Hills Camp and Conference Center

On-line reservation is now open! Just click here.

We welcome your reservations and rentals. Templed Hills offers more than just pre-scheduled summer camps. Church and non-church groups can book our spaces, too.

Are you looking for a peaceful retreat space? How about a place for a family reunion? Our facilities are available for rent. Here’s how to book.

  1. Click here to access the registration page.
  2. Choose your type of stay under the “Category” pulldown menu and select “Day Use,” “Meals,” or “Overnight.”
  3. Next, click on the date that you’d like your rental to begin using the calendar.
  4. Nest, choose the number of days you’d like to book. The registration page will show you what’s available during that timeframe. (For example, say you are interested in planning a two-night women’s retreat in August. Choose “overnight” for the category, click on the first night of your stay, choose the number of nights, and you will get a list of facilities available on your dates.)
  5. When you find the facility you’d like to book, click the red “reserve” button next to that facility description.
  6. Last, click red “check out” button on the right side of the screen and fill in the remainder of the registration fields.
  7. When checking out, you’ll select from one of two price groups, either “Congregations and groups that are part of the Heartland Conference United Church of Christ” (which includes over 300 churches in WV, KY, and OH), or choose “All other Groups (Not Heartland UCC).”*

Please contact Jill Frey, jill@heartlanduc.org, if you have questions.

*What are “All other Groups (Not Heartland UCC)”? Templed Hills is available for non-church groups too! Are you involved with a community group like Kiwanis, a business group, a youth group like a 4-H club or Girl/Boy Scout troop, or looking for a place to hold a family reunion? Consider Templed Hills.

The Hills are Alive! Capital Campaign

The Hills are Alive campaign is a capital campaign for long range capital improvements to Templed Hills Camp and Conference Center and camp scholarships. This Campaign was scheduled to end December 31, 2020. Due to Covid-19 we have paused and extended this campaign to cover the day-to-day expenses at camp with the Camp 2.0 campaign. With your help to get through the pandemic shut
down, we anticipate reinvigorating “The Hills are Alive campaign” for future development. Click here for more information and to donate to Hills are Alive.
